Psalm 11
For the director of music. Of David.
In the Lord I take refuge.
How then can you say to me:
“Flee like a bird to your mountain.
For look, the wicked bend their bows;
they set their arrows against the
strings
to shoot from the shadows
at the upright in heart.
When the foundations are being destroyed,
what can the righteous do?”
The Lord is in his holy temple;
the Lord is on his heavenly throne.
He observes everyone on earth;
his eyes examine them.
The Lord examines the righteous,
but the wicked, those who love
violence,
he hates with a passion.
On the wicked he will rain
fiery coals and burning sulfur;
a scorching wind will be their lot.
For the Lord is righteous,
he loves justice;
the upright will see his face.
Lord, David shared about times when he was not upright. But
he begged for your forgiveness, and he excepted it. I want to be loved by you
like David.
Father, we know you are just. You have told us what to do when the foundations of our world are being destroyed. Remember that you are on your throne, in charge, and you keep us, every one of us, in your sight.
Amen!!! So grateful that the Lord is on His throne, keeping watch over the just and unjust, longing that everyone would turn to Him! I can't wait to see His face, to thank Him in person for all He's done for me!!! Thank you for this post! <3
ReplyDeleteAmen. Thank you.:)
DeleteSharon K Connell here. Today I am thankful for a good editor. But also for the everyday blessing God has given to Arnie and me. For a new day to serve Him. For saving me and promising life eternal in His Presence.
ReplyDeletePraise God. Thank you, Sharon.
DeleteThanking God for answering a prayer; I mislaid my cell phone at Walmart. I had been all over the store & I was at the checkout. I asked God to help me find the phone & he led me straight to it.
