Times Of Refreshing

Times of refreshing. That phrase made me smile when I read it the other day. Like a cool mist on a sunny, 90 degree day.

God is not a harsh overseer, counting up all the bad that we do so that he can punish us. He wants to bless us by taking away all the sin, forgiving us, and starting us on a new, fresher life. He knows what hurts us, and he wants to wipe that out. He wants to give us a better way. What a loving father.


Acts 3:19 and 26:” Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.”
